• Hoopla Denton! Our girliest, sexiest event of the year, DYKEY HORROR, went off without a hitch on December 11th. Thanks to everyone who came out to support our all-female cast on that awesome, lez-tastic Saturday night.

  
• We WILL be having a show on December 25th, CHRISTMAS DAY! So after your day of awkward family moments, after you eat too much good food and sleep off that holiday booze, come down to the Regency at Midnight for a very Rocky Christmas.

  
• The Christmas show also falls on the last Saturday of the month, which makes it CHRISTMAS LINGERIE NIGHT!! As always, if you are 18 years old or more and have the ID to prove it, strut your stuff on stage in your best Christmas lingerie for a chance at a fabulous prize and the chance to be crowned Mr. or Ms. Lingerie Night for December 2010!

  
• We have a few new members of cast. In the new position of Usherette, new cast members Dakota, Jenna, and Scarlet. Next time you're at the show make sure to hit up one of those lovely ladies for a FLAMING BAG OF SHIT for $1. We have two new members of the security team also, Jasmine and Kaylin. Congrats to all the newbies, now Midnight Insanity owns your soul.

  
• There have also been some new jobs being done by current cast members. Jordan, Courtney, Amy, and Jeselyn have recently appeared as Usherettes before the show. Also, Jesus performed his first Dr. Scott and Elfboy had his Trixie debut, both on December 18th.

  
• With the approaching new year means the Midnight Insanity BIRTHDAY SHOW is also coming up! That's right, we'll be celebrating our 23rd birthday in the third week of the month, January 15th, 2011. We have a fabulous SPECIAL PERFORMANCE planned that you do not want to miss, so make sure to be there!

• Hoopla Denton, and thanks to all of you who came out to support Tranny Murder Mystery Night! We were sad to see the cast killed off one by one, but it was the price we had to pay for a fantastic theme night.
  
• Dead Celebrity Night was also a huge success. Celebs like Bettie Page, Anna Nicole Smith, Kurt Cobain, and Freddie Mercury made appearances for Dead Celebrities.
  
• Our annual *free* CSU Channel Islands show was, of course, a properly insane event ... thanks to everyone who came!
  
• The last Saturday of October is, of course, LINGERIE NIGHT! It's also the day before Halloween! So, in addition to the regular monthly lingerie competition (if you're 18 and can prove it), we'll be having a Halloween costume contest. We're looking forward to seeing all you amazing audience members in your lingerie, Halloween costume, or any combination of the two.
  
• Coming up in November, one of the two gayest events of the year: HOMO HORROR!!! Show up in your rainbow best on November 13th for our annual ALL-MALE cast night. As always, the cast list is a secret, so you have to come see the madness for yourself, but it's bound to be one of the best ever!
  
• We have some new performers. Our very own, lovely merch-seller COURTNEY has started playing MAGENTA!! Congrats, you incestuous Transylvanian, you! Also, a new Tranny, Shay, recently did his first performance.
  
• If you want to be on cast, we're always looking for more merch sellers, security, techies, Trannies, understudies, etc, and there's opportunity to move up from there. If you're interested, print out an application and turn it in to Brandon, Cheryl, Elfboy, or Zac at the show.
  
• We're so glad we keeping seeing you our loyal audience members, EVERY FUCKING WEEK!! So keep showing up and bringing your virginal friends. We'll see you this Saturday at the Regency for more Midnight Insanity!

• Hoopla Denton! First order of business, thanks to everyone who attended Schoolgirl Lingerie Night!! We had a fantastic time seeing you all in your short skirts, and licking your lollipops!!
  
• SINSCON is this weekend! In honor of this event we won't be having a show. We'll be too busy partying with Sins O' the Flesh at their awesome convention in L.A. Hope to see you there!
  
• October has a couple of awesome theme nights coming your way. On October 2nd is TRANNY MURDER MYSTERY NIGHT. This is when our Tranny corps really gets to shine, so everyone show up to support them, it's gonna be a great event.
  
• Mid-month on October 16th is DEAD CELEBRITY NIGHT! Pick your favorite Dead Celebrity and pay them homage!!
  
• The last Saturday in October is the 30th and that's our HALLOWEEN LINGERIE NIGHT!! Come in a Halloween costume, Lingerie, or BOTH! Last year the turn out for our Halloween Lingerie Night was insane, let's try to beat it this year!
  
• Oh, and speaking of Trannies, we have a new one. Welcome Kayla! She's doing great so far and will only get better.
  
• It's getting close to the end of the year again, which means that HOMO and DYKEY HORROR are coming up again! The exact dates will be released soon, so start getting your gay on!

• A couple of new people on cast, and cast members doing new things. Lara is our newest spot light operator, she's doing awesome so far. Jeselyn, resident spot tech and news writer (that's right, yours truly) had her Trixie debut on the first Saturday of this month. Drew, fabulous techie, will be trying his hand at pre-show on August 21st. Congrats, everyone!
  
• Midnight Insanity was lucky enough to have a guest Frank this past weekend, the insanely talented Liz Stockton. She's a member of Sins o' the Flesh, and we had a great time performing with her. Sins will also be hosting SINS CON, four days of utter Rocky Horror debauchery, in September. Go on their website, www.sinscon.com, to learn more.
  
• The last Saturday of the month is, as it always is, LINGERIE NIGHT. So if you're over the age of eighteen and can prove it on your way onstage, come on down in your finest (street-legal, no-pink-bits-showing) lingerie and strut your stuff to compete for the title of August's Mr. and Mrs. Lingerie Night. You might even win some fabulous prizes.
  
• As always, if you love coming to the show, join cast. We can always use trannies, security, merch sellers, etc. Just print out an application from the site and turn it in to Brandon or Mark at the show. Join cast and get sex every week, not just when your side of the audience wins rule #69.

• Hoopla Denton!! July 2010 is the month of special performances and new performers!
  
• The first weekend in July is REDNECK, WHITE AND BLUE theme night, in honor of Independence Day. So leave the fireworks at home, bring some rice and toilet paper instead and come celebrate a day off of school and work (if you're lucky) with Midnight Insanity! Also join us in the parking lot before the show for a tailgate party to get us in the redneck mood!
  
• The third Saturday, July 17th, is a very exciting special event and classic favorite, ROCKY SOUP! We will have a drawing for all the characters during pre-show for who will be playing which character. For example, Diego dressed as Frank N Furter might randomly draw Janet out of the hat, so he will be acting as Janet while dressed as Frank. Confused? Aren't we all. I guess you'll just have to come check it out, it's guaranteed to be one wonderful clusterfuck.
  
• Also on the night of Rocky Soup, MI is proud to present a special guest Trixie, the lovely and talented Anne! And speaking of guest performers, June brought us another one of Anne's Trixies, the legendary Jaimie Froemming as Janet, and Dark Refrain's Casey as Rocky. Thanks to all guest performers, you guys rock!
  
• In addition to guest performers, there's been a whole lot of auditioning goin' on. We saw Nikkie's Trixie audition in June, which was sparkly and fantastic. Coming up in July, security babe Amy will be showing off her Trixie best on the 10th and showing her wit on the 24th when she performs pre-show for the first time. So, come support her on both nights and decide whether you like her better with her clothes on or off. We on cast already have our answer... (On, of course. You pervert.)

• Hoopla Denton! We've been at the Santa Ana Regency for a few weeks now, and we are loving the new location! A lot of it has to do with you, our fantastic audience members, so keep bringing your unsuspecting friends.
  
• The most exciting thing about the new theater is, WE CAN THROW SHIT! That's right, for the first time in a while, audience members can throw confetti, toilet paper, rice, and whatever else they feel needs to be thrown. So "Flaming Bags of Shit" are for sale in the lobby, and you can purchase them for $1 from Amy, Beka, or any of the other lovely merchandise girls. Just remember to aim, so you don't hit the STAGE, the SCREEN, or the THESPIANS.
  
• Coming up on June 27th is our annual ROCKYSTOCK celebration. This year it will be held at Huntington Central Park, at Slater and Golden West in Huntington Beach, and is sure to be all kinds of fun.
  
• This past Saturday, MI had visitors from Crazed Imaginations, our neighbors to the south, and Dark Refrain. They are both fantastic casts. If you're ever down in the San Diego area, you should check out CI. Dark Refrain performs in the Regency on the 4th Friday of every month, so if you can come to MI once a week you can surely make it to DR once a month. Come watch their awesome floor show on Friday, June 25th and again on July 23rd, always at midnight.
  
• July will be a busy month for MI. The first weekend of the month will be our special performance, REDNECK, WHITE, AND HORROR NIGHT, in honor of the Fourth of July. Come celebrate Independence Day by making fun of the majority of America. This is our constitutional right as the "World Famous" Midnight Insanity.
  
• As always, the last Saturday of the month will be LINGERIE NIGHT! If you're over eighteen and can prove it (bring picture I.D.), wear your hottest, sexiest, all-the-pink-parts-covered-est lingerie and participate in the monthly Lingerie Contest which will be taking place during pre-show on June 26th.

• Midnight Insanity is now moving to the South Coast Village Regency Theatres in Santa Ana / Costa Mesa. Grand Opening is on May 29th!!

• Hoopla Denton! First on the list, be sure not to miss our special performance on April 3rd in honor of APRIL FOOLS DAY! We're not revealing anything, except the ridiculous amount of greatness that will be in and around the Warner Grand that night. It's going to be a party, so be there.
  
• Shevaun, one of our wonderful security staff, has started performing Trixie. You might remember her performance from Dykey Horror, and now you get to see her be Trixie on a regular basis! We also have a new security gal, Amy, who is doing great so far. Congrats to both of you!
  
• Prop bags have arrived! You can buy our approved-for-the-theater FLAMING BAGS OF SHIT from the lovely Christyana at the merchandise table before the show for $1. This is really just our way of helping you get rid of that pesky dollar bill you get back in change after buying your ticket. You're welcome.
  
• Smells like fish, tastes like chicken…just ask Rocky. On the last Saturday in March, the 27th, there will be no show. The Little Mermaid is performing at the Warner Grand that weekend, and we're afraid we just won't be able to get the smell of fish out of the theater by midnight. We hope it will be gone by April 3rd, when we are back in business.

• Hoopla Denton and Happy New Year! 2009 was a great year for Midnight Insanity, and we're counting on you to help us make 2010 even better. How can you do that? Keep coming, and also showing up, to the Warner Grand every Saturday at midnight.
  
• Since it is January, our annual birthday show is coming up on the 16th. That's right, we're still going strong after twenty-two years. There will be a special performance that you won't want to miss, so don your fishnets and come celebrate another year of MI with our fantastic cast.
  
• The Dykey Horror Picture Show was a night to remember, with our women showing up in amount for a night of feministic glory. As our last theme night of 2009, Dykey did not disappoint. In fact, it was so successful we're doing it again next year!
  
• Since the Warner Grand is such a nice theater, (no sodomizing by the seat springs, etc), the geniuses at MI are in the process of putting together a kit of items that you can use as props during the movie. As always you should refrain from bringing anything of your own to throw, but soon we will provide you with theater-approved Rocky props. As this develops there will be more news, so stay tuned.
  
• Time for news about new things. Brandon, our illustrious director, played Brad last week and was fabulous. We also have a new techie, Alisha, who has been doing a fantastic job. Huzzah!
  
• If you like guy on guy action, girl on guy action, girl on girl action, or tranny on tranny action, email Brandon to join cast. We can always use more kinky, semi-perverted people to pass on our craziness to. You can also use that email address if you have a suggestion for a theme night.
